+1. This requires most to use public transit within a densely populated city. Not going to end well.

You really can’t compare the pros/cons and challenges of opening k-12 with those of opening colleges and universities. Apples and oranges. Weird that you don’t understand this OP.

Hopkins is not in NYS. Maryland is not doing too well with Covid because of dumb Republican Hogan. If Hopkins is online this fall, they made the right call. Students learning online will be fine.

NYC schools closed later than most during the spring because of concerns of juvenile delinquency and crime.

Reopening the high schools should help reduce the crime that is plagueing NYC now.

Then when can we ever “get back to normal”? When there are zero cases? That’s not realistic.
