Yeah lots of places start the week before Labor Day, but the first week of August? That’s still summer!

From Florida we always went back around the second week of August. Maybe it’s because our weather is always nice. It’s always summer like. We can still go to the beach and enjoy warm weather and warm water in October. Summer means less when it’s always nice.

Not all schools have a/c. I cannot imagine starting school in early August here in MD with no a/c. My school doesn’t have it and the beginning of the year and end of the year can be brutal.
