I think PP meant to say the opposite thing. Pediatric dentists understand this is incredibly common so don't pull, while family dentists tend to be old school and want to pull immediately.
No, actually, I didn't--I meant what I said. We see a family dentist who told us it was nothing to worry about. All my friends who have pediatric dentists are the ones who had kids' baby teeth pulled. My friends with pediatric dentists always seem to be having work done on their kids' teeth, which makes me think they overprescribe treatment.
