Temperature checks are to be done by the player or parent before each practice... like that’s happening.

WTF? Our Club has a tent and station and the kids get forehead temperature checked prior to every scrimmage and practice. It's really not rocket science..every gym, hair salon, etc. is doing this too.

Club said they would do it but haven’t followed through. VA soccer guidelines suggest it should be done if possible.

Seriously doubt parents are doing this.

Alexandria is still social distancing until further notice.

They’re focused on selling people camps and extra training. No time to provide better service to those who have paid for the season (past and present). With Alexandria, expect to keep paying to more to get anything.

What service are you missing?

Instead of telling my kid to go to an additional evening camp to improve footskills, how about using all the money I’ve already paid in the spring and fall to actually teach the skills to my kid. I’m sold some BS about a style of play and when I ask about technical work, I’m told to buy an extra camp. I get this club is all about paying its ED ridiculous money, but you would think the basic soccer stuff would come with team fees. To make matters worse, I drive by the fields at times when my kid should be having practice and I see them filled with the Kids paying for the extra camp. It’s a club where only “the haves” seem to get training.

We had one practice per week in July, which is more than we usually do over the summer. We never had practices in early August, when the evening camps are held. What do you mean by "should be having practice?" If you know of another club that regularly has practices in early August, and that's important to you, feel free to have your kids try out there.

I have yet to see Arlington do a temperature check, though I have seen some coaches insist on masks coming on and off the field. Kids are supposed to wait in cars until retreived by coach, but there are always some who just gather at the gate.
