OP- I feel for you. I've had three miscarriage myself in the last year and it's been awful. Hang in there.
It's better to have the test done, than have 7 MC and decide at that point, ok maybe I should have the test. Unfortunately, a lot of women aren't tested for it until near that point. I hope it works out for you. Did your doctor also mention taking baby aspirin?
Many people with MTHFR have to do baby aspiran and Lovenox.

This is op. The way the doctor explained it , it is to increase the chances of a good quality egg. That is most likely the problem here.
