No, the country should lock down to control the ongoing pandemic. You're the one who sounds selfish.
And "you do you" is not a thing during a pandemic. This crass American pseudo-exceptionalism is WHY the pandemic is out of control in this country.

He likes being both an introvert and a naysayer. So, just do things on your own with the kids and don't even ask him to come along. Meet up with other families, go to the zoo whatever. At some point he will say "why didn't you ask me to come" and then you can tell him why. Yes, doing things on your own with young children can be challenging but it is better than just sitting at home allowing him to get his way.

Can I just point out that he's had to live your way/society's way all the other years of his life? Can you impatient, whiny extroverts just shut up and leave us alone and stop demanding attention like a toddler?

Same. We usually get left out of the friend groups that do family/couple things after the first invitation because DH always finds a way to make it subtly clear to everyone that he doesn’t want to socialize. I got tired of his passive-aggressive behavior so we just don’t go anywhere fun with him and save the fun for ourselves. It’s lonely and in normal times it stinks to be out and see other families socializing together.
