No not really - MPD has been quite aggressive about pursuing and arresting people involved in property crimes.

There wasn't actually that much looting in DC so that doesn't strike me as kowtowing to anyone.
And 50% of DC was not boarded up. There was some looting in my part of town (it hardly qualified as rioting and nothing whatsoever to do with the BLM demonstrations) and the only stores still boarded up are stores that are closed.
I'm not a Bowser fan but then you aren't a DC resident and I'm skeptical you even come into DC except for occasionally driving to a Nats or Caps game.

They really don't, and there's a no strike clause in the collective bargaining agreement so there is nothing they could have done about it (except make a lot more noise) if she decided to go forward with hybrid learning.

The fact that indoor dining, indoor church services and gyms are still open but school buildings aren't -- and probably won't be for all of the next academic year -- are proof that she's a cretin. Schools need to be the No. 1 priority, not making sure some 25-year-old dimwit can get a drink at a bar.

I understand that, but she always seems so late in coming out with her decisions. Take the school plan for example. DC was the LAST jurisdiction to announce its plans.

You may not be aware, but there is a lot of DC that isn't your office. You probably don't pass much of it on your commute.
