Most likely this. There is a national shortage of bikes for all ages predicted to run through after Christmas. There is a national shortage of weights. Used golf carts for resale are in short supply.

I have luck finding Carters on Amazon for fairly cheap. Does Costco have their own brand (Kirkland) kids pajamas? If so, Are they good? We’ve tried the amazon essentials brand for kids pjs and they shrunk a lot and got holes quickly/easily so I went back to carters. But would be interested in finding a cheaper alternative that holds up well if that exists—my kids can typically wear pjs for up to a year before outgrown so I don’t really mind paying a little more if they’ll last but cheaper is always better


Yes they do have a Kirkland brand but they aren’t always in stock. They’re nice thick cotton.

This information is about 40 years old. If pajamas are cotton and close fitting, they do not contain fire retardants. If they are polyester, they don't contain additional fire retardants as polyester is naturally a fire retardant. That's about 98% of the PJs on the market.

There's a lot of supply chain issues with COVID and a lot less consumer purchasing because of COVID. I would assume that is why.

It could also be that sales are down at store fronts because of COVID-19 and so costs are higher making sales less doable.

Maybe. My brother died in a fire trust me, if your pjs are on fire flame retardant isn’t going to matter.

I think it's because with more people home and time on their hands, they're shopping. And that's driving up prices. Companies don't have any incentive to discount.

I've noticed it too (although with other items) and have decided not to buy things for a while.
