I also shop at will. If I lived in a hot spot in which people were good about masks, I would continue to. If I lived in a hot spot in which people were not good about masks, I would hide.

Same. I have some friends in TN and SC and they say people there are just carrying on without a care in the world, no masks, la dee dah. I wouldn’t be ok with that.

No, neighbor, it’s us - not them. I’m shocked anyone would come to our islands now. They are doing great - we are dying.

We do live in Georgia and we do things VERY differently than what I read here! In fact, it’s shockingly different. It’s us in the house and all masked when even walking to get the mail and the end of our street.

This is us too. But everyone I knows is doing camps, play dates, traveling, etc. Hope they don’t complain when schools don’t open this year.

You seem super well informed, and like you will make safe decisions for your children

Wouldn't do anything different--staying masked for shopping, no crowded indoor spaces, keeping distance outdoors.

I would be much, much more careful outside and be very hesitant to ever go indoors anywhere except my own home, since people don't wear masks as widely in FL or GA and don't social distance like we do.

Sorry, but I fail to see how a preschooler in FL who gets infected would be any more likely to spread it to their family than a preschooler in VT.

I'm higher risk and doing strict social distancing. So wouldn't do anything differently in Florida.

Just curious, when they go back will they be required to wear masks or have any other mitigation measures in place?

I’m in Forsyth county and it hasn’t really been made clear. “Expected but not mandatory” “highly encouraged” ...it’s been extremely vague.

There’s no reason to stop DL or homeschooling. Those things can continue in a war.

Why would you make a different decision? The virus is what it is -- super contagious, it travels with non-symptomatic carriers and is very dangerous to some.

Yes there are more cases in FL or GA but a single carrier is all it takes. Remember this likely started in November with a single person being infected. Three months later the entire world was on fire.
