Junie B. Jones books. All of them. Why would I want my child to think bad grammar is ok? I found myself correcting it when I read it to her.

Oh my gosh, I LOVED this book when my son was little. We read it multiple times a night. So cute to hear him make the doggy sounds and giggle at the cat.

This isn't a specific book, but I hate a choice children's books authors sometimes make: to have the book itself pictured in the book.

Like in Hush, Polar Bear, the bear is flying all around and then lands in the girl's bed next to the same Hush, Polar Bear that you are reading. It's like a mirror inside a mirror and it drives me crazy!

One of my fave recent books, A Very Late Story does this and it annoys me too, but the rest of the book is really lovely so I allow it on that case.

Yes! DS was given that as a gift and I read it once and tossed it.

“Daddy doesn’t live here anymore” by Betty Boegehold and Bernice Berk. Every time I read this to DS, he cries.
