I know I'm very late to the party, but 21 yo DS and 18 yo DD still love to wrestle. They've always been close and this has always been one of their favorite things to do together.

And don’t discount it for your daughter. Girls are all over this area’s wrestling scene, and it is growing in popularity all over the country!

I did know a couple of guys in their late 20s who always wrestled when they saw each other I took it as an inherent inability to express themselves verbally re: affection between males. I also thought it was juvenile.

My brother and I did.

Totally normal and fun for them. My two oldest boys are both high school wrestlers but they been practicing since they were able to walk.

Normal for boys. Girls usually wrestle if they have a brother (I did!), but my sister & I never wrestled each other. And my daughters never wrestle each other.

He let's the girls team up on him, he's quite strong and doesn't mind them roughing him up.

Tell them to keep at it. Wrestling is a pretty good sport and quite a bit safer now with a better set of weight rules (and parent involvement). Kids now are not permitted to cut weight from their pre-season weight. And, women’s wrestling is growing very fast. Even if there is no Girls high school Wrestling team yet chances are pretty good there will be one very soon (fastest growing high school sport in Texas is girls wrestling and other states are adding it fast - it helps with title ix compliance). But, pretty much every school with a good wrestling program has girls filling out the lower weight classes. This avoids forfeits in those classes when opposing teams show up with someone in say the sub 106 and sub 113 classes.

Haven’t kids outgrown these play wrestling games? Obviously they know to stop when someone says to stop but I’m ready for this phase to be over. It’s obnoxious, loud and silly.

Who would have thought that juveniles are engaging in juvenile behavior .

My son and daughter did wrestle each other in the living room (he is a wrestler) frequently.

Sorry, I just notice you have a boy and a girl. In that case, probably not likely to go into their 20s, lol, but could go on for a while.

Two brothers OTOH may wrestle for many, many years.
