I would use Annette as a first name. None of the names you've suggested flow together nicely, but maybe that doesn't matter to you.

I know an Annette and her nn is Netta. Uo the pp I've heard both ways. I usually say bee uh triss.

I like Beatrice Annette. You could do Trixie or Bea. Samantha is also nice and the big rage to give your dd a male name or nn.

Agree with you on the gender neutral nns, OP; I hate "Sam" when Samantha is such a pretty name. However, I do think Samantha Annette is a bit of overkill, for some reason. I would go with one or the other.

I like all your options.

If you don't like the gender neutral nickname, Sam, pick another. Samantha is long enough, that you can derive other nicknames - ex. Mattie, Nattie, Mandy, etc. Nicknames can also xome from the middle name. Annette offers lots of opportunities for nicknames - Ann, Annie, Nan, Nettie, Etta, etc. My mother picked my name, but because my father thought it was too long, they picked a nickname only remotely related to first name to use. My grandparents didn't like that, so they picked a nickname equally distant from my middle name. Be prepared that you can't always control the nicknames others use. Your daughter, or one of her friends, may decide to call her Sam anyway.

Beatrice/Trixie - I love this. Beatrice always seemed old-fashioned to me (Aunt Bea), but it seems like it's time for a comeback. Trixie reminds me of the Trixie Belden mysteries. I generally recommend the series for adolescent girls, but especially for anyone named Trixie.

I think Annette is a general type of name that would work well with most first names. Longer first names will give you more nickbame possibilities, but also increase the letter count. Most of the time, I don't think that matters, but may get tiresome for DD if she has to blacken bubbles on standardized tests someday, if they're not all virtual by then.

Or just name her Rosie! I love that one. I don't understand giving a child a name you don't plan to call them. Just name them the nickname!

All of these are pretty lovely. You have many good choices OP. I love Beatrice nn Trixie, and Dot is such an awesome nn for Dorothy.
