Not really. His motion to dismiss was denied.
Pretty soon his attorney will be able to file a motion to dismiss based on the right to a speedy trial. They keep putting it off due to covid and that excuse won’t work for much longer.
The crime he is charged with is a misdemeanor and at worst a fine of $500. He needs to clear it from his record so he can be employable.

Do you really have to keep opening new threads? Do a quick google search.
Same can be said for for 98% of all the posts on DCUM. If it doesn’t concern you, keep on moving. There are some of us who this does concern and care that this man is held accountable.

I really hope none of them are working with kids. Bet Bloom is some sort of education consultant now.
He is still on FCPS payroll.
Why is he still on FCPS payroll? Doesn’t the fact the people on his staff are being criminally prosecuted for abuse mean he failed as a leader? Are the aides still on payroll too?
Not at all. Unless the boss (in this case the principal) is complicit in the situation, the only question is how he or she handles the situation when someone else breaks the law. The case here is trying to determine if he was involved or negligent when he found out. Under your premise, the boss would lose the job every time a worker steals something, or shows up drunk, or uses insider information for personal gain.
My guess is that you knew that already, never sent your kids to public school, and relish the opportunity to go after someone involved with the school system. Do you do the same thing at church?
Nope- actually I have a child in a different self-contained classroom in FCPS and am appalled that any principal who himself failed to report abuse is not fired for misconduct.
Let me guess- you don’t care about the safety of those disabled kids as long as your AAP kids aren’t being abused.

I wonder if that is from the restraint litigation. Does anyone know how that is going?
