I think some behavior on her part is subconsciously making you revisit this. I agree about the phone, BUT that’s so 1990s. Cheaters these days rarely use phone/text communication because they know it will show up on a phone bill. Skype and Google for messaging/calls is the way they do it with ZERO trace. Some also create fake/burner email accounts.
Examples that could provoke this include if she’s been a little less open about what’s she’s doing. Maybe a few years ago she would gladly seek your input and comfort on things going on in the office and now she’s less willing to just unload on you. Couples typically open up about things to each other. She might also be faking some reasons to go into the office now with the covid. Saying she has important things to do. Otherwise you wouldn’t question it. Chesters rarely change. She’s doing something he’s picking up on for sure.
