So if it was my kid and yours and you were hosting, I’d pay $15-20/hr, on the books, through a nanny payroll type company.

That’s really low. I pay teenage babysitters that much.

If your kids are young enough to need childcare, I'd focus on that, rather than on specific teaching credentials. Pandemic times are stressful, and the most important thing is you find some situation where your kids will feel secure. And your sitter/nanny doesn't need a teaching credential to read to your kid, or help them do a worksheet, or teach them a chimney sweep themed dance, or whatever else.

Nope, I'd be interested in an in-person small group, but if it's virtual I still have to figure out childcare.

If it's virtual, I might as well do the free school-provided DL, since I'll have to supervise my child anyway. In-person tutoring is the only thing that would make my life any easier.
