Single parent of a 7 yo. I WFH. Here is our schedule:

Before 8 am: free time
8 am: morning meeting where we look at what we have to do and plan our day around my meetings and anything we might have to do

Usually looks like this:
8:15 am: chores and get dressed
9 am: playground/I make calls or catch up on email
10 am: conference calls and summer school work/reading
12 noon: lunch
1 pm: conference calls and free time
3:30 pm: calls are done; we head outside or run errands
5 pm: swim lessons and dinner or picnic dinner in the park
7 pm: shower
7:30 pm: reading
8 pm: lights out/I get my work done
10:30/11 pm: I go to sleep

It is not ideal. I try to limit screen time to that afternoon block, and I try to start my kid with a non-screen activity.

And my boss/organization is extremely forgiving. I am really lucky.

What about these schedules is privileged?

Not PP, but I’m guessing having SAHMs and nannies. Or WFH. I don’t really think that’s privileged.

In the morning 7yo does online camp and 5yo does mommy school for 1 hour reading and 1 hour math related and educational board game etc. Then rest a little both kids start music instrument practice. Then lunch hour, they can watch some pbs kids or other kids education program. Then reading, or do assignment from camp or school for 7yo, 5yo read online books. Then I start to cook supper and DH takes kids to front yard or back yard play, sometimes I was able to watch kids then DH can go exercise a little. Then dinner time and kids get to watch pbs kids again. Afterwards, kids do some writing/math textbook/more reading, or science experiments from book or science kit bought online, then bath and kids go to bed.

Can you just go to BabyCenter and stop complaining that a parenting message board that has subsections for real estate, nannies, housekeepers, and private schools is privileged? Because...duh.

Anonymous wrote:these are so funny, because they are not really schedules.

it is like wake up, eat, read, clean, goof off, read, eat, math, play, eat, play, sleep. and mix up the order here and there.

my kids do this:
wake up, eat, screen time, practice something, read something, eat, exercise in some way, eat, sleep.

lol...I feel you. But I have slacked off on my "schedule," and all hell broke loose. So, back to a little time to goof off before you need to do your work, specific meal and bed times, TV off most of the day, etc.

I didn't attach times to mine because we don't hold to strict times.
