I am 49 years old and lived with debilitating anxiety for my entire life. One month ago I finally went to a psychiatrist and got on Lexapro. I can now say that I am enjoying my life.

Yes. I was not happy for most of my childhood and wouldn't have expected to be as happy and grateful as I am now. I make a habit of counting my blessings--especially when I start to dwell on something negative. It works and adds to my enjoyment level.

Yes. Not every moment (especially during Covid), but it’s the little things. Feeling the hot sun beat down on your skin on a lounge chair. A cold glass of lemonade in the hot sun. Laughing watching a great tv show. Seeing your child crawl for the first time. Feeling a sheet freshly out of the dryer. A delicious cup of ice cream. Falling into bed after a tiring day. Winning a game of cards.

Yes! Life is beautiful. I don't always make the most of every moment, as I'm distractable as anyone else and I spend too much time on this forum, but I love life.
