I have no problem with my kid playing this fall if the "powers that be" decide they are able to. That being said, I am not going to jump up and down and pout if they can't. No matter how much we might want (or in some cases not want) our kids to play.....complaining here one way or the other isn't going to change things.

Yeah but who cares about lung damage and reduce capacity? I mean, sure anyone with that will need to switch to golf - no more soccer - ever. But they should be happy to do that. And, if they are able to also kill off grandpa by spreading it then win win.

A very high percentage of asymptomatic infected people under 30 show lung damage. This includes children. The risk are not known.

Worth it to who? Who are you speaking for? You know your risk vs reward tolerance. Don't speak for others.

Who the hell are you speaking for? Nobody elected you the sheriff so zip it skippy.

PP was speaking for him or herself. Sounds like the reward is not "much more worth" the risk for them or their family, even though another poster stated otherwise on their behalf.

And Team A should self-quarantine 14 days as well.
And all Team A family members as well, including siblings.
And (if in live school classroom option) all Team A classmates and Team A sibling classmates.
And so on and so on.

Is this the expected protocol? If so, a single domino affects families, teams, classes, schools, leagues, and so on.

Wow.

This is dumb and no its not protocol. Its not what medical professionals recommend. The only people who should quarantine are those who came in close contact (<6 ft) without a mask in the last 14 days with someone who tested positive.

Everything else is above and beyond and not medically supported. But anything can be recommended by the school, etc.

Just ignore the people that don't want to come out of their houses.

+1
And with kids who play soccer we are talking about kids who are athletic and enjoy being active. Doctors just do not understand the long term effects of this disease yet and diminished lung capacity is being seen.
