Both my kids have been to the dentist in the past week. This week is ortho. Plus one has a well visit next week and the other a specialists appt. one has to have surgery this summer. It’s not something that can be put off at this point. Quite honestly, I’m trying to do as many appointments as we can this summer because I fear we’re going to another lock down in the fall if they open schools back up.

What exactly are we at greater risk for? Most doctors give me the blow off so its not worth it. I'm surprised doctors are even having that many visits. Most of mine are phone calls or video calls. I have absolutely no reason to bring in a healthy child and put them at risk.

I will go to one appointment for them to give me a medication I cannot do at home but I would't do it if I had any other options beyond suffering.

Yes. They're going to their yearly physical, cleanings, and I've even taken one to the orthodontist for braces.

Yes. Pediatrician spouse just scheduled annual well visit for our kid for later this month. We did telemedicine allergist visit in April.

Vaccinations absolutely. I’m very comfortable with the pediatrician. At this point I would be ok with most doctors even though we are strictly staying home. But dentist is an absolute no go for us. I’d only make an exception if I suspected an issue. Our kids have always had healthy teeth and that seems an especially risky environment so I don’t think it’s worth it. DH and I both recently rescheduled our own visits. If cases continue to decrease over the next month, I might feel differently.

We are not. Kids are not due for any vax but it’s not like they’re coming anywhere near other kids anyway...

We did virtual well visits, and went in just for vaccines. Isn’t this common?

We did my daughter’s well check just last week (Almost two months late, but she didn’t require any shots so no big deal). And both my kids had dental cleanings the week before that. We also just did a haircut for my son. My own dentist appointment is next week. I agree with getting all the appointments in before the fall and before cases spike again.

Yes, we have well visits and dentist scheduled for August. Pup also has the annual vet visit coming up.

Doctor visits yes—I took both my kids in April during peak shut down. I trusted the office’s precautions and take vaccines seriously. I’m not as serious about the dentist—my 3 yr old has an appt in July and I have one in August and I’m 50/50 in whether we’ll go.

Yes absolutely. Getting dental checkups was one of the first things we did when the lockdown ended, and physicals are up next with one child requiring routine vaccinations. I prefer to do this now rather than wait till the fall and winter.

YES! It’s more important than ever you keep to vaccination schedules.

After consulting with our pediatrician we skipped a late March 11 year old well visit but went in early May to be sure that we keep up with the vaccines. I would feel safe if we had to go.

I will schedule a flu shot appointment first thing in the morning if we can for September or so, but I actually don't think our office has flu shot appointments.
