I would NOT. As someone who is addicted to this sort of thing (games, tv) it creates a cycle of self-loathing.

I had to literally get rid of my TV.

Do you always follow what your pediatrician says about everything? I personally think you are creating a forbidden fruit situation. Kids can learn how to regulate but need the practice. You are denying fun because what might happen ? That seems very faulty. You are the parent and can turn it off whenever but the games are fun for everyone!
