Our Arlington neighbors have a Trump/Pence 2020 sign. Their kids went to all private catholic schools growing up, including high school at Gonzaga for high school. They haven't been wearing masks, have large gatherings multiple times a week at their home, and the young adult kids have been playing golf 3-4 times a week with large groups of young men (who all meet at their house with clubs and golf attire before leaving to carpool).

I live in Fairlington and we definitely have a decent amount of conservatives. I figure it's military/ Pentagon proximity but some civilians too.

Anywhere wealthy is going to have its share of conservatives - we live in Falls Church across the road from McLean and saw a LOT of Trump signs in front of the large McLean homes on Idylwood 4 years ago. Hell, even houses in Falls Hill where we live had Trump signs out in front, I was honestly kind of shocked, I wouldn't have expected that where we live since it's a pretty diverse area (I mean, our neighborhood isn't but the surrounding area is).

The NYTimes map is interesting, but keep in mind that Trump is not a normal politician and people’s votes for/against him don’t *necessarily* capture their true political leanings or how they might vote in elections where he’s not on the ballot.

I live in Loudoun and my neighborhood voted pretty blue in 2016 according to that map — BUT, a lot of that was traditionally Republican voters who just wouldn’t do Trump. They were perfectly fine voting for say, a Barbara Comstock or Ed Gillespie.

Parts of Loudoun have shifted from red to blue, but my neighborhood in Broadlands is still plenty full of Trump supporters if that's what you're looking for (or trying to avoid).

-1 again, voting Republican does not necessarily = conservative, and Democrat does not necessarily = progressive. They are not perfect synonyms.

So you might want to click on the link to the NYTimes that another poster shared. It shows a significant portion of Vienna as voting deep blue in the 2016 election.

On the whole, areas with a Vienna mailing address are more conservative than those with a Falls Church address.
