I don’t even understand the question. I can’t imagine not sharing any medical update with my husband and it’s not like your doctor would know if you are... cheating with your husband or something. Are you saying you normally hide medical information from your husband?

I’ll add that DH and I always share any important medical information with each other. I had a physical a couple of years back where I was just below the cutoff for pre-diabetic and had high cholesterol. Called DH from the car the minute I got out of there. I never told anyone else, but there is nothing I can’t tell DH including the embarrassing results of my extra weight and lack of exercise at that time.

^i meant if I had a major issue I’d share that with my spouse.

I guess I'm having a hard time understanding what the concern is.

If I had a major concern, I’d probably share that with my doctor anyway. Maybe OP is worried the doctor would be gossiping with his spouse? Or maybe his wife is a pain in general and he wants to spare the doctor? What’s your concern, OP?

+1. Same here. Not sure what the issue is unless you don’t trust the dr or your spouse?

DH and I have had the same.doctor for 7 years. It has never presented with any issues. But we have only had a few minor medical issues over the years which we have always shared with each other.

I guess I'm having a hard time understanding what the concern is.

Irrelevant imo but we’ve had separate docs purely by coincidence/choice.

Hm. When I got married my husband needed a PCP and switched to mine who was actually a quick bike ride from the house. It was a great move because my husband was immediately comfortable with him. We are divorced now but still go to the same PCP.

And +1 that you have a very strange marriage.

Does anyone agree or disagree, and why?

If you're a PCP, does it present issues/make you uncomfortable to treat spouses?

Why would you care?
