It was a year before the pandemic. Don’t be so quick to rush to judgment.

Is it pronounced like "Clee-o" or "Cly-o"? If I ever knew I forgot.

The latter.

Who cares!!! I was a Princeton tour guide and have never heard this or ever heard anyone mention the building, FWIW. I would’ve called it Cleee-o, I’m sure.

It would not be easy to prevent people from walking around. Even if certain gates were closed, there would be other access points.

+1 There are literally hundreds of access points for pedestrians into to the main campus area from all four directions -- so it would not be possible to block off the campus from visitors.

True but lots of colleges that have many access points have posted signs all around campus asking visitors not to enter. Haverford and Bryn Mawr for instance (I live near those). Could they stop you? Probably not, but it’s clear they really do not want you there.

On our Princeton tour we were only taken in to 1 building...the chapel.

Some Facebook friends just stopped at Princeton a few days ago and took pictures of their family on campus, so it seems to be open.

Thanks everybody. Very helpful! Really appreciate the list of local eateries and hangouts. We had delicious pizza and ice cream at Yale, Belgian waffles at Harvard, Zingermans at Michigan, Donatos at Ohio State, steak frites at Parc in Philadelphia — so we’re definitely on a food tour during our visits.

Putting aside the logistics of traveling, I'd love to visit the campus right now. I spent two summers there as a research assistant and there's something special about having a campus largely to yourself that you don't get when school is in session. And someone who hasn't been there before can gawk as much or as little as they want without feeling so much like a tourist.
