In my Battery Park neighborhood, there are some. Usually corner lots, or properties facing a busy road. I know some have pools behind these fences, I can hear the water splashes in the summer.

Just buy a new house with a pool.

This is just such a weird ask. Is this some sort of feng shui thing? Who on earth strips down for a plunge in their front yard in a pool unsuited for laps or play or anything beside being a hazard? The fence next to it would take away any aesthetic improvements.

I don't see how this is any different from a koi pond. The example plunge pool is both functional and decorative. Go for it.

I love your pic OP and I would do it if I really wanted a pool yet the only acceptable placement is the front yard. Ignore the naysayers. And a lockable pool cover would be the way to go. I would probably do a 3' or 4' iron perimeter fence or hedges just to keep people from wandering into the yard to look but that's me.

I wouldn’t think it would look good nor be functionable/enjoyable in a front yard.

It likely will be viewed as more of a decor item vs. a recreational one.

I would never do this for aesthetic/safety/liability/privacy reasons.

In MoCo, you need either a fence or a locking pool cover. You dont' need both, but you can have both of course.

In short, you need a locking barrier to the pool, and a cover qualifies.

As for undergroudn utility pipes, ignore that person. Miss Utility will mark the pipes, and you can even have them moved if you need to (for a fee, of course).

Don't comment with gibberish. Those pipes aren't randomly installed, they are easy to mark and find. You have no idea of the layout of OPs yard.

With a privacy fence, and then high hedging, it could be a "secret garden" feature. Americans are over the top about the wasted space of a front lawn. Like, we have to have it, but the aesthetics belong to everyone else.
