He must have felt you might be a gold digger and wanted to protect himself. Get a job and create your own wealth.

Lol oh I remember this OP. I see she's still holding out hope that people will pity her. As you've been told many times OP, gold diggers rarely win in the end.

So far so good but yesterday when we talked about trading in my suv for a newer model he tells me we’re going to take advantage of the 3 year interest free financing for the balance. Where as before he’s always bought them outright for me. So I thought to myself, so basically if things go south I’m on the hook for 40k! I really don’t understand why my DH thinks I’m an idiot. And why he would even think I would go for this new way of purchasing vehicles for me . I think that’s what really upsets me. So I just politely declined and said I’ll just keep the one I have. We really need to get into therapy ASAP! Waiting for therapist to open back up .

Lol. You went gold digging and found nothing but rocks.

So I wrote down what I thought was fair based on the number of years married and what I felt was needed to maintain an UMC lifestyle. So, if married for 10 years I would receive ten years and so on. When I showed it to him he actually increased my proposed amounts. That was over 20 years ago so I‘ve never needed it but it did tell me I was marrying a very fair man.

OP here well you’re lucky you married a fair man!

I think it’s the older woman troll that frequently posts here to complain about her husband and how he controls all the money and isn’t living up to the promises he made about putting her name on the house etc. she quit her job to live on easy street not realizing its a gravel paved pot-hole riddled mess.

Agree, same lady, looking for a different answer. Won’t get it here!
