Then she'd KNOW it was coming.
If the mom is planning to come to OP’s house for a birthday dinner, she knows it’s coming. She just wanted more attention which is bratty and annoying.
OMG. Some of you are too much with the mom and MIL hate. You seriously need therapy.
I went to my cousin's house for lunch on my birthday but she still found the time to send me a text wishing me a Happy Birthday that morning AND she called and left a vm for me where she sang Happy Birthday. I saw her less than 3 hours later!!! I'm pretty low maintenance and I actually kinda hate my birthday but it was nice to be acknowledged and that she was so excited about my birthday.
OP could have taken 10 seconds to send a text. It would have been nice. Or to have the kids call grandma and sing Happy Birthday. Sheesh.
