I personally feel a great husband should show extra kindness and be there for hus wife during this time. I'm curious to know if the husband's on here do anything special for their wives during their periods or do they treat them normally as any other day?

How do you treat your wife while she's on her periods?

Sounds like you lifted those words straight from a brochure to give to a passel of virgin young men.

I have to treat my family with extra care when I’m on mu period because I can be a real piece of work. I know I can be a real pill so I have to be cognizant of how I’m treating everybody it’s on me to be nicer to them.

She gets great WiFi reception in her menstrual hut, and with that taken care of, there’s really nothing more for me to do.

I do not want nor do I expect "different" treatment to account for my "hormonal changes." My husband treats me with kindness regularly and it would be super weird if he changed his behavior for a week every month because he assumed I was going to be "extra sensitive."

Also, and I wouldn't do this if your post wasn't so dumb, it's "husbands."

Get control of yourself. Hormones are no excuse to treat people terribly.

Thanks, I’ll let them know!

You're in adult. Learn some strategies to deal with them. Can't stand women who are abusive and say "oh it's the hormones lol!!!". It gives us a bad name.

Trust me, I don’t lol and I do have a few strategies, but they’re not always successful. Nature has a way of winning. If you’ve been blessed with mellow hormones or have yet to wade into the joys of perimenopause, consider yourself lucky!

My husband would probably prefer I go sleep in some tent or shed for “dirty” women during this time as he seems pretty grossed out.

Menopause.

Ha! Yes, this. And I don’t expect my husband to treat me any differently. I will let him know if I’m feeling very hormonal just so he’ll know why I am weepy, etc.

My periods used to be uneventful. So I didn’t expect DH to know or care that much about them. However, after 4 years of perimenopause and horrible, horrible periods (flow so heavy that I go through an ultra tampon and a pad in an hour or less, debilitating cramps, and embarrassing digestive issues surrounding that week each month), he’s really a huge help. I’m truly out of action for at least a day, sometimes 2, and he steps up with household and kid duties. He is sympathetic and tries to just leave me be, which is all I want at that time. It does matter that he cares and does his best by me. I don’t ask him too but if he didn’t care, it would make these weeks even harder.

Most months my husband doesn’t even know when I’m on my period.

It only comes up if he initiates sex or we’re planning a beach vacation or if I need him to pick up some Tylenol at the store.

My periods are thankfully pretty mild and my husband is always helpful if I need it. It’s generally a non event.
