I don't like wearing masks, but I wear it when there are a lot of people and pull it down when no one is in sight. I find walking (I'm not a runner) on neighborhood sidewalks/streets far less crowded and have explored lots of new local neighborhoods this way, only pulling up my mask if I can't avoid walking 10 or more feet from passing someone.

WEAR YOUR MASK WITHIN 6 FEET OF PEOPLE.
This means you should always take your mask with you when you leave the house.
You should wear them if the area is so crowded that people get within 6 feet of you repeatedly. But don't constantly whip your mask on and off, because that's also a contamination risk. You need to look around and use good judgement.
And what are you going to do about it when I don’t?

Anonymous wrote:I run on the W & OD trail in VA 5 days/week. I would guesstimate that about 25% of the people on the trail wear masks. I wear a mask 100% of the time indoors, 0% outdoors.
Anonymous wrote:I wouldn't take the masking behavior on a trail as representative of masking behavior in general. I don't wear a mask while recreationally biking on a trail. I do wear one when I go into any building. And, while I haven't been on a crowded sidewalk since the pandemic started, I would wear one there too.

We are rarely leaving the house and only shopping once a week and carry out 1-2 times a week. We are as careful as anyone but you are absurd.
