Male dogs often lift their legs and pee on bushes. This kills the bush. Female dogs squat. This kills the grass. Sure/ some male dogs squat (like my 10 year old boxer who can no longer lift his leg) and I’m sure there are female dogs who will lift a leg on occasion to show dominance. My female rescue will hump to show dominance.

Oh- and female dogs lick their private parts as well. Shame on you for spreading this hateful lie to divide dogs by gender.

OP- I’ve had both males and females. I’m partial to males I think they’re easier and more cuddly. Females are more protective.

Since most female pets are spayed (with removal of uterus and ovaries) I can't fathom how estrogen would affect their urine. And speaking only for myself, I've never seen any difference in how dog urine affects grass, male vs. female. The male dogs urinate in greater quantities. Neither sex of dog likes to urinate on its own property.

To generalize ~ Females are more affectionate. Males hold their urine longer. In part because, sometimes, the female bladder is affected when they are spayed. Op, I would say neither is a significant difference to determine your choice.
