Zero Tolerance! Perhaps even sending an email to their teams/parents acknowledging that they are aware what is going on in the country and even own backyard and want to support the members of their organization that are affected! 9 days of protests now and my club has only sent out information regarding tryouts and fees!
Why do we care what a soccer club has to say. Why don’t you send an email out, at least to your team? People always want others to do things but won’t do it themselves. How convenient.

Perhaps start with saying there is a zero tolerance for racism.
Meh, more words. Tell me specifics. Tell me that you have reviewed your SOP for discriminatory practices (in many cases, how about creating an SOP). Tell me that TD's are charged with the responsibility to spot racism and act immediately. Tell me that you will be open and honest about violations and corrective actions.
I was an earlier poster who requested specifics. This is exactly what is useful. Words followed by specifics within what clubs can do. These are good ideas. How about more representative coaching staffs.

Our club has that already in the contracts... Zero tolerance for racism, bullying, etc. No discrimination due to religion, ethnicity, race, etc.
Don't clubs do this already?
Or are you suggesting a reminder on their social media accounts? [/
Facts count more than words. What about what how many female TDS/coaches in your staff? Which is the ratio of white kids vs other backgrounds? Do families have a voice or club support when they feel their DC are not having equal opportunities as other DC in the team? Such a anonymous Hotline. There is quitE a lot a club can do to ensure there is no discrimination. Facts talk - check your team in the last 2-5 years which have been the most vulnerable DC with no support from a the team lead, a coach etc.

Anonymous wrote:If you are a club start by accepting costumer reviews. I wonder why most clubs forbid families on posting online reviews, isn’t it retaliation? The fact that clubs prohibit the reviews empower TD and coaches bias against certain players and families. With no transparency in their policies, good practices and directives/coaches behaviors, this clearly leads to discrimination.

Yesterday, #blackouttuesday several soccer academies (Bethesda, Potomac, Brit-Am, PPA to name
a few) posted black squares on their Instagram page but a black square is insufficient, they should examine their motives and not participate in performative allyship.
I understand that it’s more comfortable for you to post a black square than your use words, power, your body, and your money to fight racism but I beg of them to do it!

+1 hypocrites most clubs will take no action other than posting their propaganda online. I have witnessed a lot of discrimination within a local club. Most times it comes from coaches from different backgrounds. All they care is to please parents that kiss their ass.
