You Americans are simply amazing.

I'm guessing most of these responses are from people who consider Sizzler their main steakhouse. The best steakhouses will happily cut in the kitchen - especially because the trend now is to order 2-3 steaks for the table so everyone can try a bit of each.

But if you insist that you have your own medium well 12 oz filet yeah don't cut that in the kitchen.

You can ask and they can say no. Our cooks would tell the server to get lost.

Of course it is. No self respecting Chef would refuse little customization and this is not even doing nothing as far as cooking. .it is just cutting.. 5 second deal really.

OP if you want your steak already cut, go to Medium Rare. They are open for carry-out.

I think medium rare serves their steak presliced?
