I have a 2016 Accord, and it's fine. I have two car seats and don't need to "upgrade" to a SUV for more space as there is plenty. It accelerates pretty well if you push it, which is important to me, and it is more maneuverable than our low-mileage 2007 Camry.

I have a 2019 Accord, and I generally love it. I traded up from an early 2000s Accord that was still in great shape - I just wanted something with newer safety features. The trunk is enormous, it handles well, and it's got good acceleration. (Also, looked at Subaru Crosstrek and Forester and my 2004 Accord had better pickup, which is important to me for merging and dealing with DC traffic generally.)
I went with the Accord because I like driving manual, and it was one of the very few options for a manual in decent, non-Jeep Wrangler vehicle. If I had been okay with an automatic, I would have also looked seriously at the Toyota Camry, which rates slightly higher than the Accord. My mom had a 1995 Camry for about 15 years, and she was pretty upset when it finally got to be more expensive to fix than get something new - I think it had over 200K on it by the end.

I have a 2018 Accord hybrid. Great safety features and mileage (I get ~43 mpg and I do almost all city driving).

Yes, if you can get past that it's a Camry and they are everywhere, then this should also be on your list. It is not the Camry of old, but it's still a Camry.
“Get past” it? There’s a reason Toyota sells so many Camry’s and they’ve basically killed the American car off. It’s because it’s better. People actually care if they are in the best selling car in the country? It doesn’t seem to bother those people driving F150’s and Honda CRV’s...
