But of course people in Bethesda are only progressives in spirit and not in action and will happily drive their imported SUV's a few blocks to get a coffee.
When did progressive start to mean that you had to be anti vehicle? A progressive person can no longer exercise choice in the vehicle they drive? Or is there some sort of progressive litmus test and somebody who metro's into Bethesda is more progressive? Where do I find the badges?
Progressive people can only drive a Prius with a "COEXIST" bumper sticker. Bonus if they have a fading Hillary 2016 sticker as well.

So all non-essential businesses are closed, the MVA, the parks, the schools, etc...but I still see the little white parking enforcement cars driving around Bethesda ticketing?!? This is so MoCo, literally. It's not like there are major parking problems, the garages are all open as are the streets, very few cars other than those picking food up. When did this become so essential?
I don't know but I bet what the parking enforcement folks were doing in Bethesda was a lot more essential than whatever you were doing - do you want to enlighten us?
So long as you are willing to walk a block it is not hard to find parking in Bethesda even when it is busy because there is so much of it and I can't imagine it is hard at all to find it right now so just park your car legally and be glad you live in a county that for some perverse reason spends tens of millions every year to subsidize lazy drivers.
What I was doing in Bethesda was picking up food from a restaurant so I can support the small local businesses. What I did not like was seeing a parking enforcement person ticket a car, literally the only car on the block. That car maybe belonged to a worker or maybe someone who went for a walk on the crescent trail and lost track of time.
Hey Holier than thou, its a crappy time and people like you who are so smug make it crappier. Its time to give people a break. Parking enforcement is NOT essential period.
