I don't like it. To me it reminds me of some movie where there was a rich girl character whose name was "Lizbeth." "Elizabeth?" "No, LizBETH." I guess it just seems like something a prissy rich lady would name their child.

The name Audra is a common Lithuanian name that has gained some popularity in the US. It means storm in Lithuanian. It's not a modification of Audrey.

YES, that is a good way to put it. It's just sounds. At least it isn't as difficult to pronounce as other sound-names like Rory.

Audra is way prettier than Audrey IMO

I like Audrey much better. I think the goal of names like this is to sound individual or unique. To me its come off as overwrought and fussy.

I love it. I went to school with a girl nicknamed naughty Audie.

I don't hate it, but I do agree that you it sounds like a name where both parents agreed that they liked one name (Audrey), and then they decided to make it "fancier" or make sure she'd be the only one in her pre-K class by making a minute adjustment. (Maybe it's mean but I enjoy it when this backfires because other parents have the same exact thought process and you end up with, for instance, 86 Liams in one neighborhood because "well, William is a family name but...")

I like it. I've only known one Audra personally. It's easy to spell, pronounce but uncommon.

I don't like the name. IMO it is a very flat sounding name.

LOL, Daycare Provider, that is just what I was going to write but you have much more credibility than I do. Only a parent. Kids are incredible at picking apart names. And god forbid she’s actually...odd.
