There are good MSC classic out there. Ask around. I would rather do classic at this age and maybe supplement it with a private trainer or small group sessions or a good summer camp.


It’s MSI not MSC. But I agree. My DD started in Rec then joined a parent coached MSI Classic Team. She then joined a travel team at U11. I still think this was the best approach.

PPA and Fusion are similar and often play against each other in this league. Both are a good choice. Fusion only has one team per gender per age group. PPA may be a little bigger.


PPA has 4 2010 boys teams with the top one playing in EDP. So a lot of options.

PPA and Fusion are similar and often play against each other in this league. Both are a good choice. Fusion only has one team per gender per age group. PPA may be a little bigger.

Yes, only if you’re comparing to paid coached teams as you’re paying for the coach. It’s by far much cheaper to join a parent coached team.


A parent coach can't compare to Fusion coaches (most of whom played pro in Argentina). Can't speak to Toca. Fusion plays SAM Select. About $400-500 per season.

OP, try PPA. More low key, SAM Select league - games at the soccerplex - and they don't constantly look for an promote ringers.

Yes, only if you’re comparing to paid coached teams as you’re paying for the coach. It’s by far much cheaper to join a parent coached team.

+1. Only problem is to find a good parent coached team and if these teams have openings for your DC.

MSI refunded 100% of the cost to all to the Rec and Classic Teams which is very classy of them.

Play in MSI Classic on a parent coached team - skip the clubs just trying to make a buck. On their website they post tryouts by age with contact information for the coach, but I just looked and it's not yet there for fall.

Would not recommend DC Stoddert travel, BSC wanna be club. It would not provide what you seek nor feel that different.

Toca Cost annual is very close to the cost of a typical travel team but plays in the MSI Classic league. Hence, you might as well join a travel team. Unless you can find a good MSI Classic team that is coaches by a parent....the cost is much lower since you’re not paying for a coach.
