If it’s warm out, can you go outside? Do you have a walk-in closet or a closed that can be morphed into one

+1. I'm working from my bed but I could move a chair in here if needed. Send DH to your room and shut the door. Can't believe he didn't do this already!

He needs to dedicate a room as his office. That’s what DH does, as he works 12-14 hour days and is in meetings or doing analyses constantly.

DD3 knows when the office door is closed, daddy is busy and can’t play.

We have a condo with no office. I am the breadwinner. I used to work in the living room. Now, bc everyone is home, I work in the bedroom. He needs to as well.

Yes, this. Why is he not helping during the day? He needs to take breaks and help out.

+1

Unless you guys have an agreed upon situation, pre-covid, where he makes most of the money and you do most of the childcare, and your work is clearly secondary (like if he is a lawyer making $500k a year and you do some bookkeeping from home on the side for $40k a year or something) he should absolutely be pitching in on childcare. Just cause your work is a bit flexible and his is rigid doesn't mean a 100%/0% divide during the work day. Maybe 80/20 or 90/10 at LEAST.

My husband is also on calls all day long, and I have to do some calls here and there. If very important, we work from our bedroom. TBH, nothing is soundproof, so dog and kids will sometimes be heard, but it's better than being right in the middle of everything.

ITA...folding card table and a chair from the dining room. Doesn’t have to be a permanent set up or expensive.

Or, as my colleague has done...take the car out of the garage and set up office there outside of the house.

Your husband needs to work from upstairs. Period.

Oh hell no. He is LUCKY you are letting him work normal hours right now while you do all the childcare and fit your own stuff in at other times. He needs to take his calls upstairs. What an asshole.

Remember Donald Trump wandering around on the debate stage? OP, that's what you need to do, preferably while wearing a costume, during DH's calls until he gives up and retreats to the bedroom.

Most companies/agencies I know of are being super accommodating to folks with young kids at home. I’m going to guess your DH doesn’t want to take advantage of that?

Yes, this.
