Don't judge. They may have been told that they cannot telework with a child at home (I know someone who is in this situation). At my company, it is up to your manager to decide whether you can work with kids at home and whether you can work any sort of different/odd schedule. Some managers don't care and some do.
Yep. Also they could have something else going on. My husband has MS, which means he needs proper sleep and exercise to keep the episodes at bay. He cannot afford to work crazy hours or not exercise because he’s trying to juggle work and a toddler. Oh — stress can also prompt episodes. I can’t telework, so am going into the office.
You don’t know everything else people are dealing with.
