Of course not - and I’m sure I don’t make his every wish come true either! And most of the time I don’t know what I need or want anyway. Having other people in my life opens my eyes to new things and he’s part of that circle.

Of course he doesn't. That's why we like each other! We learn from each other and we have other friends and jobs and interests. If we liked all the same things, what on earth would we talk about?

Of course not! First off, he's male. I definitely need female companionship too. He hates shopping, pedicures, magazine, romantic movies, DCUM.

Of course. No human being can be everything to anyone. My spouse isn't a puzzle piece, he's a person. A person I like and love. We have WILDLY divergent tastes and takes on music, movies, books, etc. We have libidos that don't always match. Hell, we don't always fit on our busted couch together very well. But we love each other and like each other a whole lot, and have decided we like our lives better with the other in it.

I don't expect him to. That's why I take a dance class with Stefania and Neepa. That's why I talk about 90 Day Fiance with Cara and Stefania. And onwards.

Different people fulfill different needs.

this. Step away from the romance novels! You are in charge of your own fulfillment. A spouse fulfills some needs - but not all. Friends, extended family, professional meaning, hobbies, etc. are all other ways to get a different kind of fulfillment.

EVERY interest/need?! That's an insane expectation and you're setting him up for failure and yourself up for disappointment.

Its no one's DH's job to fulfill interests and needs. Its your job to get on with who you have chosen, communicate clearly with them and don't be a needy princess.

No one in this world can fulfill your interests/ need. This is mission impossible

Huh? Dh and I love our differences. I love that he loves to cook (I hate it) and he loves that I like laundry and cleaning. We have different interests too and read different things.

But all in all, I think we have more similarities than differences. We never argue and usually know what the other one would say or do. Kids can’t pull one over on us because I know Dh wouldn’t have said yes to something.
