DD is a high school girl who wants teo play soccer for her HS team. Please give me the pros and cons of your club. This is NOT intended to bash other soccer clubs, just an opportunity to hear from people who are from the actual club. Playing in college is not a factor. She's a defensive midfielder and starter. She was on the A team at her old club, for whatever that's worth these days. And please don't tell me to "call the club" since naturally theirs will always be the best around. Looking for honesty since no club is perfect!

Both SYA and ODFC are close to Aldie are decent and a good option for what you’ve described. I have heard that VA Revolution may have some business issues and it is relatively new so you may want to avoid. FCV you may want to avoid also since your kid is not interested in DA (their top team’s are their overwhelming priority). If you’re thinking about Reston, then you may as well consider Herndon too but both those are further than SYA, Loudoun, and ODFC. Talk to the coach, talk to some parents also as it depends on the age group as to which coach you’ll get. Coach tends to be more important than club, so pay attention to how they treat you and your kid when you interact with them. Good luck.
How is Herndon as a club? Don't hear much about them.
Depends on the team. Some are very, very good and others mediocre.

Nice to see no club bashing going on in this thread

Everyone is in the same boat.
Just reach out to the club TD and go from there.
I think both Clubs have solid A teams already, so they're probably not looking to add many players to their rosters. But since she's in HS, I would send the TD an email with her soccer CV attached. I would add a couple of videos as well, that's what SYC says to do for college recruit but I think it would work for HS level at the club as well!
I hate to say you are wrong but my kid plays for one of those two teams and slots for a quality starter are definitely available. The team is a good quality squad but always can use a strong player and I am talking as a starter not as a bench add on.
