They might block off every other carfio machine to create more space. Keep outside doors open all the time for circulation.
They would put marks on the floor of classrooms to kerp distances. Bring your own mats. Etc. It's not imposdible to imagine.
Every dumbbell, every weight bar, every plate, every rope attachment? And who is going to police that. At most gyms, the only staff are at the front desk. No one is enforcing anything.
Some things can be taken out of use. The gym doesn't have to "enforce" adults wiping their machines before use. The ADULTS can be expected to use supplied cleaners or asdume the risk of infection.
You think LAFitness/Gold's/24 Hr fitness are sitting around saying "this will never work! We have to file bankruptcy and close!" Or are they thinking of ways to make it work...hmmm....I wonder which it is???
Nothing will be as carefree as before but where there is a will (i.e. money at stake), there is a way.

Anonymous wrote:I belong to a pilates studio which stayed open until the bitter end...not classified as a "gym" so they got to stay open as a "retail establishment." It infuriated me because I thought it was very irresponsible of them to expose people like that. And with reformer equipment, you are touching all sorts of props and various parts of the reformer, which need to be wiped down after each class. Normally, clients wipe down the mat and the foot bar of the reformer, but in reality, you cannot sanitize a reformer between classes because of the straps. Also, clients are constantly touching the springs and other parts of the reformer too, which also need sanitizing between classes, but this was not happening. I am not sure what I will do when this studio reopens. I really enjoy the classes, but I don't feel confident that I will be safe in the environment until the virus is eliminated and there is a vaccine.
