+1. My kids’ ped practice emailed out clear guidance about doing well visits for kids older than infants by telemedicine and what types of patients they’re still seeing face to face.

My kids (3 and 6 mos) have their appts in two weeks and I plan to take them. The office is doing well visits in the morning after the office has been thoroughly sanitized and sick visits in the afternoon or by video and they are meeting any potential COVID-19 patients outside and triaging at the car and masking if they go inside.

Our 12-year-old is due for her annual physical/wellness exam, but we're not going anywhere near a doctor's office for now. Probably not for months, or we'll just skip it for this year. It's not worth the risk. I do feel sorry for parents of kids under 2 who need their vaccinations.

Our PES has split the practice between their two offices. Week visits at one, sick at the other. They are also asking that only one parent accompany the child and no siblings.

What is your child doing that gets them close enough to people from whom they could catch measles? Whatever it is they should stop.
I’m not sure if your trying to be snarky or not, but I’ll answer anyway. I’m going to discuss it with our pediatrician when we get closer to the appointment to see if we should wait or not. Right now they are still doing those kind of appointments, so it depends on the doctors opinion. Our children are home and not going anywhere but to be honest I’m not certain how measles spread. So I’m not really sure if the immunity wears off or not. I plan to research more to learn about it, but I also will trust our doctor’s opinion on it. Also as a PP mentioned I’m pretty sure we need this for kindergarten. I don’t want my child to get sick with something else either! I’m sure the pediatrician office will also be taking precautions if they are do these appointments.
I’m PP. Who knows if they will be doing any of these pediatrician appointments in a few weeks anyway. Things are changing very rapidly. Our dentist cancelled our appointments last week. I was fine with that, we planned to reschedule those appointments anyway. The dental appointments weren’t urgent, just check ups and we are trying to limit our exposure and stay home as much as possible too!

I thought the 5 year well visit included a few booster shots so you can register for kindergarten? That why I planned to take my oldest in a few weeks.
I think in some places the norm is to give those at 4. But even if your kid is missing shots they need for Kindergarten, they can get them the day before schools starts. They don't need them now.
