You do not need to stay indoor.

My boys are 3 and 4 and we do a 2-3 mile walk or bike ride every day. We have to! Then they’re much more compliant inside the house.

Can you hook some sort of swing into the ceiling?

at 5 he can probably play foosball or ice hockey. Probably too young for ping pong.

Can someone link to a decent safe not expensive rebounder? They seem to run from $59 to $599 and I am not sure what to look for in terms of features

I bought an indoor trampoline/rebounder - it has been amazing so far for keeping them active on rainy days. We don't have a yard either. it's very safe - my rules are only one at a time and no jumping off it onto the floor. They love putting music on and bouncing to the music.

We got a ping pong table.

Little Tikes Bounce House - our 5 yo uses it 3 times a day and loves it. Best thing we have bought for quarantine so far. (we got a dome jungle gym and that is liked very much but not as much as the bouncy house.) It can be easily inflated inside or outside.

That’s what we have. We’ve had it for 7 years since our kids were 6, 4 and 2. No iniuries. My two rules are: do not jump off the tramp onto the flour and one kid at a time. The worst we’ve had is a stubbed toe when the first rule is not followed. We got ours from the costco adult exercise online section.

Maybe jump ropes (depending on coordination). Wii just dance or wii fit (thats an old system but i like it...some peole will give it away for free because its old).

OP, mini trampolines known as rebounders do not have the same accident concerns as an outdoor trampoline.
