Sounds like my middle schooler...
Middle school? Omg I can not stay up all night long taking care of a middle schooler. Is it like the baby years all over again ? We still have the same 7:30 bedtime no matter what. I need my sleep.
Why would you need to stay up to care for your middle schooler? And 7:30??? Wow. My 10yo DD was up until 3AM last night, woke up at 1PM. I was asleep at 130AM and up by 845. While this is not a daily occurrence (we were up having a movie marathon), but I trust her to stay alive while I'm asleep under the same roof.
He can’t do anything on his own. Won’t even get his own water or food. I would be woken up every few minutes. Even now with him home I can’t do laundry without him coming with me downstairs. I don’t trust him . No special needs either. Just can’t function alone.

Your wasting money on his education. He’s partying not going to class.
Np so jaded. Not everyone partied like you. This is an unusual circumstances. Why so rigid? Is there somewhere your college kid needs to be in the age of closures and social distancing? No? Than let him be.
