We are drinking a more together. Too frequently. My anxiety is nearly unmanageable at this point, and without the gym it's pretty difficult for me to get enough exercise to manage it . On the...bright side? Our mayor (not in DC right now) has kept liquor stores open, while ordering the closure of every gym in existence weeks ago.

Yes, I sweetly suggested that he limit his drinking to one per night and he agreed. He then switched to the largest glass in the house.

No, he doesn't drink at all but I have...duh.. A bottle of wine per night tops, no big deal people, relax.

I'm having virtual happy hours with my girl friends - it's great fun and I don't need to get dressed up. And I only have to stretch my arms out to refill my wine glass.

Popped a beer at 9am to listen through the list of layoffs for tomorrow. One we get through this phase, I expect to return to normal drinking habits.

DH gave up alcohol for Lent, so he’s drinking less. I’ve gone from once a week (only night with no driving kids or getting up early the next day) to being able to have a cocktail whenever I damn well please. In practice, that’s turned out to be every two or three days. One shot of something lovely in 16oz of diet tonic or 12oz of diet soda, because I’m a total lightweight.

Umm my days the last 2 weeks have been some of the hardest in recent memories. Two full time jobs with two young kids in the house and it's chaotic and a bit stressful and yes, once I start making dinner I am hitting the wine too. I'm trying to dial it back to the pre-covid consumption (mostly on weekends) but my weekdays are MUCH more stressful now than before.

Yes. We both are and we've acknowledged it. In the "before time," we only had a drink on weekends. Now I have a glass every evening while I make dinner and usually another after the kids go to bed. I don't see it as a big deal.

I am not sure I have ever consumed as much wine in my life as in the past 2 weeks.

DH is drinking his usual amount. I’m drinking more this week because I’m PMS’ing.
