OP here. We used Instacart yesterday but the stores were out of some of the most important items so it wound up being very pricey to deliver a few boxes of crackers.

I finally managed to get an Amazon fresh spot. I pared it down to the essentials, spent a few hours refreshing very frequently, and finally got a spot.

Thanks again everyone for all the good ideas.

I had better luck with a grocery store local to my parents. Not a big chain but was able to order delivery for them.

Do they belong to a synagogue or church? Ours set up a volunteer brigade to grocery shop and doorstep/garage delivery to elderly members.

That’s a great idea! I bet places like neuske’s would be good too.

Can they drive? Walmart will bring everything out and load it into the car and they open up shopping slots first thing in the morning for the next day
