We still have our nanny coming. Her husband is telecommuting and DH and I are both currently WFH and have been for a few weeks now. Although all of us venture to the grocery store occasionally we are otherwise a closed loop. I've said several times that if she ever starts to feel worried she should please let us know and stay home but so far she says she isn't concerned, since we're all otherwise strictly social distancing - and boy am I grateful. As is my toddler, who loves her to bits.

Wow so she's a SAHM who's partying with her friends while you watch the kids 12 hrs a day?


Pretty much!! They had a dinner party on the weekend and had 3 separate playdates. Im staying because I need the job, but after this is over I’m outta here. I’ve been with the family for a few years and they know I’m high risk (asthma) and apparently don’t care. I’ve never taken a sick day, but the next time one of them gets a fever, I’m going to have a ‘fever’ too.


Ooof I'm sorry. I thought dinners delivered and hiking as a family unit were ok for social distancing but a dinner party and 3 playdates is beyond unacceptable.

We have a nanny. We agreed to keep a closed system (nanny is single and lives alone) of just us and her. We make on grocery store trip a week for Ourselves, kids and nanny.

It’s hard but we have to do it. Us working from home aside, my kids would be heartbroken if they couldn’t see nanny.

Yup, our older kids are in elementary school so it all dovetails nicely as a regular setup. Benefits of small, independent program I guess -- nanny is not the teacher for DDs class.
