Surely you're aware that's what babysitters are for.

I wouldn't if I had a choice, but unfortunately I have to take them with me.

I purposely do not take the kids to the grocery store - I think the fewer people out, the better / lower risk of catching something.

What? Many adults are asymptomatic carriers of the disease. That isn’t the reason taking your kids to the grocery store right now is stupid.

OP - the fewer people in ANY store, the better. And that includes your kids. In these times, ONE person needs to go to the store.

My cousin takes her two eldest (17 and 15) and they each get a cart to tackle a section of the list. This was after she missed out on items like milk or TP several times.

Seems to be well to be a little normal and shop together (once every two weeks is the plan). Physically seeing people around seems important, I think it's ok but waiver on it. Otherwise we are home all the time.

What do you do?
They may not be allowed. On Sunday, TJ’s was only letting in shoppers one at a time.

Nope. Mine is staying home. He’s 11, and still touches too many things (picks up groceries, not like licking the floor).

Especially at that age, when they will be fine on their own at home, and they're susceptible to the illness themselves.
So you would not only be irresponsible and selfish and against every public official's suggestion/plea/deman/order, you would also be endangering your own kids, for the enrichment of strolling the aisles of Giant. Just no.

Another single parent. I am trying to go every 2 weeks or less. I keep DS in the shopping cart and keep my distance from others. I would not recommend bringing your kids if you don’t have to.
