My son is at a Montessori in Chantilly and are allowing us to pause our enrollment for 10% of our tuition. The rates go up every school year and when school reopens we will still receive our existing rates. This seems reasonable to me

It's also worth noting that some states (and DC) are passing emergency bills that provide some unemployment to teachers/require schools to pay the teachers and then reimburse them. Schools should at least be willing to use this to meet part of payroll and then give that portion of the cost back to parents. I don't want schools to close and employees not to get paid, but lots of people are getting smaller paychecks now (or none) or having to pay for extra child care. Why would it be ONLY parents that bear the costs?
