My 4 year old is losing his mind! He wants to go to school, the playground, the store, you name it and can't fully understand why not. He has always been a handful and seems to be regressing more and more each day.

11yo DD is doing ok so far, but the prospect that she may not return to school this year is devastating to both of us! This is her last year in elementary and she was looking forward to so much that may no longer be possible

Yea - this is horrible. My 5 year old seemed to have turned a corner in the past 6 months but is regressing now. Lots of emotional outbursts. Thankfully the 3.5 year old seems to not really get it. And the baby is a baby.

DH and I aren't stressed, but we are both full time teleworking while crying for our 1 and a 3 year old. Both have been clingy and have behavioral issues that normally don't happen. My 3 year old was crying last night about how much she missed her friends and her favorite teacher. It's so hard, but I can't lose my job.

9:34 here. Outdoor time creates a whole new kid in our case. After the incident with the laundry basket, we talked and DS sobbed. It's so hard for kids right now with their disrupted routines and no definite answers. I'm taking him for a walk in the neighborhood after I get home this evening and going hiking over the weekend. Hopefully next week I will be able to stay home and engage all of the kids in more activity.

Mine is ok when it's just us hanging out together doing our work together. When I had the remote learning on the tv, it was too much to even watch. It made me really sad to see how upsetting it was. Extroverted kids are really struggling.

9yo upset he's not going to school. Last night he screamed at me and threw the folded laundry at me. He reacts to stress and anxiety with aggression. A lot of exercise outdoors helps him a lot but with DH working FT at home and me working FT outside the home, he's not getting that.

My 3.5 year old claimed to be happy when we told him that school was closed, but started crying all the time shortly thereafter. He has been cosleeping with DH since then which has helped.

Kids are perceptive and they pick up on our stress. It's no surprise they're more emotional.

We're trying really hard to to outdoor time twice a day as physical activity is such a good mood booster.
