I think it's almost sociopathic to NOT look exes up. It's normal and healthy to be curious about people. To be so detached and uninterested seems self-absorbed and creepy.

I don't look up my exes but did look up my high school crush. Who is now obese and bald and posts pictures of himself wearing wifebeater tank tops and holding guns. Wish I hadn't looked!

I’ve looked enough to see that the ones who were horrible to me and treated me like I wasn’t good enough are married to plain (or below plain) women. Guess they were wrong to think that they could have whatever woman they wanted!

People are also counting as exes someone you also dated for two or three months. To me, that's not an ex, just someone you casually knew.


It's Facebook. I have no reason not to keep in touch with them. I only blocked one when she acted a bit crazy. I'm not "tethered" to them. They are just in my friends list, along with a few hundred other people. I ended it well with all of them. I am counting exes I dated and was intimate with no matter how briefly and one exW where I keep in touch with her daughter (not by me) and other family members because she doesn't do FB. I'm just very social that way and it's not a problem.

Have looked up an ex many times before..happy one in particular dumped me back them as she turned out to look just like her ugly ass mother and has a rather amusing looking trailer trashy lifestyle.

A few years back I looked up a guy who I dated in college. Turns out that he committed suicide shortly after we broke up. We didn’t date for long- only three months- so I don’t think it was because of me, but there were no signs whatsoever.

Another ex published a fake obituary online for himself. That was weird.

I keep in touch with a couple of my exes on social media. They were good guys. I like seeing their lives and kids and cats and dogs in the many years since we've parted.

I don't see anything untoward about it...I don't keep in touch with people who acted badly toward me. Just the ones who wish me well, and whom I wish well, too.

Non of my break ups were that dramatic so they pop up every now and again in conversation, etc.

I google everybody so yes, my ex's too.

I'm happy for all of them, they are doing well.
